Terms of Service

LingoStep is operated by MrPotato AB, organisation number 559523-7099, Sweden. References to “we” and “us” mean MrPotato AB.

You may use the lessons without an account for the free allowance described below. An account requires a valid email address and a password. You are responsible for the accuracy of your details and for keeping your credentials secure.

The first 10 completed lessons are free and do not require registration. For signed-in accounts, the allowance is counted across the account and is not reset by changing language or device. We may change the allowance in the future, but not retroactively for lessons already completed.

Registration is required to preserve progress across devices after the free allowance. Creating an account does not by itself unlock lesson 11 or later lessons.

Lesson 11 and later lessons require an active Premium subscription. Premium also unlocks the features shown on the pricing page. Subscription state is checked on our servers.

The current price, currency and billing interval are shown on the pricing page and in Stripe Checkout before you confirm. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same interval until cancelled. Stripe processes payments and billing.

You can cancel through the Stripe Billing Portal made available in the app. After cancellation, Premium access continues until the end of the paid period and then ends. Lessons you have already completed remain reviewable as described in the product.

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, mandatory distance-selling rules may give you a right to withdraw within 14 days. For digital services, that right can be lost once performance begins with your express consent and acknowledgement. The checkout flow must obtain any required consent before access begins; no additional refund promise is made.

Lessons may be generated or improved with AI and are provided for language-learning purposes. Content can contain errors or unnatural phrasing. We aim to validate generated lessons, but we do not warrant that every sentence, translation or explanation is accurate.

We work to keep LingoStep available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and may perform maintenance. The service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law.

You may use LingoStep for personal, non-commercial learning. You must not scrape or bulk-download content, resell access, attempt to bypass payment or access controls, reverse engineer the service, or use it unlawfully.

The LingoStep name, software, curriculum, audio and generated content are owned by or licensed to MrPotato AB. You keep ownership of text you submit, such as custom topics, and grant us the licence needed to operate the service.

You may stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account and learner data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or create a security risk. We will handle deletion requests in line with our Privacy Policy.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including mandatory consumer rights. These terms are governed by Swedish law. Consumers may also rely on mandatory protections in their country of residence and bring proceedings where the law allows.
