Present Tense: No 'to be'
In Russian, the verb 'to be' is omitted in the present tense.
Use 'Привет, я ...' to greet and then say something about yourself. The subject 'я' (I) is followed directly by a verb or noun. For example, 'Я студент' means 'I am a student'.
